The Role at a Glance:
The Talent Acquisition & OD Specialist will play a key role in building and executing Pete & Gerry’s talent strategy, with primary responsibility for corporate talent acquisition and growing responsibility across talent management and organizational development.
This role will lead the strategy and execution of recruiting for corporate and professional positions, partnering closely with leaders across the organization to identify, attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent. Beyond recruiting, this role will help strengthen how we identify and develop talent across the organization through talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, competencies, and other organizational effectiveness initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a talent professional who brings strong recruiting expertise but thinks beyond filling positions. They understand how attracting, developing, and retaining the right talent connects to business performance and can move comfortably between strategy and execution.
How You’ll Create Greater Impact:
Talent Acquisition
- Lead corporate talent acquisition strategy and execution for corporate and leadership roles.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand business needs, define talent profiles, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Partner with local HR teams to establish consistent recruiting practices and provide tools, resources, and support for plant hiring needs.
- Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Oversee the full recruiting lifecycle, ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Develop and continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, interview practices, and selection methodologies.
- Use recruiting data and market insights to identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, cost, and candidate experience.
- Manage external recruiting partners, search firms, job boards, and other talent sources.
- Strengthen the company's employment brand and ensure our EVP is consistently reflected throughout the candidate experience.
- Develop and maintain recruiting metrics and reporting to provide visibility into hiring activity, pipeline health, and talent acquisition effectiveness.
- Support workforce planning and talent pipeline development for critical capabilities and future business needs.
Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Help translate the company's talent strategy into practical programs and processes that strengthen organizational capability.
- Support key talent management processes, including talent reviews, succession planning, talent identification, and development planning.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify organizational and talent needs and recommend practical solutions.
- Support organizational effectiveness initiatives, including change management, team effectiveness, organizational design, and other strategic people initiatives.
- Use employee and talent data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate insights into action.
- Help build stronger connections between performance management, talent reviews, development, succession, and internal mobility.
- Facilitate new hire orientation for remote employees, creating engaging and consistent onboarding experience.
HR Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with leaders across functions and serve as a thought partner on talent and organizational needs.
- Collaborate closely with HR colleagues to create an integrated employee experience from recruiting through development and retention.
- Bring a business-oriented, solutions-focused approach to HR initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
- Stay current on talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, and learning trends and identify opportunities to bring relevant practices into the organization.
- Contribute to the evolution of the company's overall people strategy and broader HR priorities.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience leading corporate/professional recruiting, ideally within a corporate or multi-site organization.
- Experience partnering directly with business leaders and hiring managers.
- Demonstrated experience developing and improving talent processes, programs, or practices.
- Strong project management and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with talent reviews and succession planning.
- Experience with organizational effectiveness, change management, or organizational design.
- Experience in a manufacturing, consumer products, food, or other operational environment.
- Experience working with an HRIS, specifically Paylocity’s Recruiting and Onboarding modules.
Work Schedule & Hours:
- This is a hybrid role, with the potential for fully remote.
- This role requires the candidate to be within a drivable commuting distance to one of our plants located in Monroe, NH; Salem, NH; Gainesville, GA; Greencastle, PA; Kalona, IA, or Navarre, OH.
