Description
Summit Truck Bodies LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube bodies, is expanding its workforce. Summit Truck Bodies, located in Wathena, KS, is looking for a Manufacturing Programmer to operate and monitor robotic press brakes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Import Bill of Materials into automated software.
- Make programming adjustments in taught computer manufacturing software.
- Verify parts are manufacturable and being made correctly.
- Troubleshoot minor positioning errors or software glitches.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, maintains and wears all required personal protective safety equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods.
- Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.
- Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
- Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Requires working in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
- Prior experience in manufacturing machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.
- Knowledge in Google Sheets or Excel is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting of priorities.
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
