Position Summary: 

The Interstate Program Coordinator provides project, administrative, and coordination support to advance the work of the Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (AAICPC). Working with internal teams, member jurisdictions, and external partners, the Coordinator supports initiatives that strengthen the administration of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) and promote collaboration across states. This role is ideal for a highly organized and collaborative professional who enjoys coordinating projects, managing details, supporting partners, and ensuring work moves forward effectively.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate day-to-day project and administrative activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, maintaining project documentation, and following up on action items.
  • Create, Eedit, and format reports, presentations, correspondence, official ICPC forms, resource materials, and other documents that support AAICPC initiatives and member services.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, webinars, conferences, and other events, including registrations, communications, meeting materials, and event support.
  • Maintain and update databases, contact lists, shared files, calendars, and collaboration platforms to ensure accurate and accessible information.
  • Monitor and coordinate communications through shared inboxes and other communication channels, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of member communications, state notices, rapid response inquiries, conference announcements, and other informational resources.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of AAICPC resources, including manuals, guidebooks, training materials, and other publications.
  • Assist with data collection, surveys, evaluations, and reporting activities to support continuous improvement and departmental priorities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, member jurisdictions, and external partners to support project implementation, information sharing, and high-quality member service.

Requirements

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Business Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field required. 
  • Up to two (2) years of relevant professional experience in a coordination, administrative, project support, or program support role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard work management and collaboration platforms. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional materials and interact effectively with diverse audiences. 
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, scheduling, and data management. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as required by role or department.
