Position Summary:

Candidate would be a member of the CUBRC Aerosciences group involved with high-speed wind tunnel testing. Primary responsibilities include operating CNC and manual mills and lathes to fabricate tunnel parts or models to precise tolerances.

Requirements

Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant education and job experience
Experience machining various materials on CNC equipment
3-axis CNC milling experience required, 4/5th axis experience desirable
CAD/CAM experience required, but training assistance is available
Good understanding of general machine shop equipment and inspection tools
Ability to read technical drawings to set up and prep jobs, and understand dimensioning and tolerancing requirements
Applicant must possess the basic hand tools to perform their job within the scope of duties.
Willing to work flexible or extended hours on an as needed basis

Special Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and remain eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance.

Salary Description

$33 - $40 per hour
