Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst or Associate to join our Capital Markets team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting capital raising efforts, evaluating financing alternatives, and executing transactions. The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Execution: Support execution of debt and minority equity financing mandates, including lender/investor outreach, diligence, documentation, and closing.
- Financial Analysis: Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate capital structures, credit metrics, and financing options.
- Market Insights: Conduct market research on lending institutions, private credit funds, equity investors, and transaction comparables to inform client recommendations.
- Client Interaction: Participate in drafting and reviewing client presentations and pitch materials; engage directly with clients and financing counterparties as experience grows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with industry coverage teams and senior bankers to deliver holistic advisory services.
- Business Development: Support senior bankers in marketing efforts, pipeline management, and development of long-term relationships with financing sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated execution experience.
- 2+ years of private credit experience required.
- Understand debt and equity structures (senior, unitranche, mezzanine, structured equity)
- Support credit underwriting and debt structuring analysis, assessing leverage, coverage ratios, and cash flow impacts to evaluate financing alternatives
- Prepare Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs) and other marketing materials to effectively position clients for financing processes
- Lead company and lender diligence efforts, including organizing data rooms, and coordinating management and lender Q&A
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and Excel/PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex financial concepts for clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
