Hanley Foundation is a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We are seeking a Wellness Coordinator to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility.
The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating wellness-focused programming that supports the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of clients at Hanley Center. This position promotes healthy lifestyle practices and recovery-oriented activities while creating an environment that encourages engagement, personal growth, and sustainable wellness.
The Wellness Coordinator works collaboratively with clinical, nursing, medical, and support staff to ensure wellness programming complements each client's treatment and recovery goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of wellness activities and educational programs for clients.
· Promote healthy lifestyle practices related to nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, mindfulness, self-care, and overall well-being.
· Lead or coordinate activities such as fitness, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, recreational activities, wellness education, and other recovery-supportive programming.
· Encourage client participation in wellness activities while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and recovery-focused environment.
· Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure wellness activities are appropriate for clients' treatment needs and abilities.
· Assist clients in identifying realistic and sustainable wellness goals.
· Provide education and resources that support healthy decision-making and long-term recovery.
· Coordinate wellness schedules, classes, activities, outside instructors, and community resources as appropriate.
· Maintain accurate documentation of participation and other required wellness-related activities.
· Monitor client engagement and communicate relevant observations or concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.
· Ensure all wellness activities are conducted safely and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
· Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional relationships with clients.
· Assist with special events, recreational programming, and activities that enhance the client experience.
· Support a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered approach to wellness.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe wellness environment and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
· Participate in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education as required.
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in health, wellness, exercise science, behavioral health, recreation, social services, or a related field preferred.
· Experience working in healthcare, behavioral healthcare, substance use treatment, wellness, recreation, or similar setting preferred.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to facilitate groups and engage clients in a positive and supportive manner.
· Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
· Certification or specialized training in wellness, fitness, yoga, mindfulness, nutrition, recreation, or a related discipline.
· Experience working with individuals affected by substance use or behavioral health concerns.
· CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
· Knowledge of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices.
