POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Technician Lead performs a variety of inspections, verifications, and containment duties to ensure product and process conformance meets H&T Nevada specifications and requirements. The Quality Technician Lead also plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing product quality within our organization, serving as critical assistance and support for the Quality Control Supervisor. This position entails overseeing a team of quality technicians, conducting thorough process audits, and collaborating across departments to drive continuous improvement. With a focus on precision and data-driven insights, the Quality Technician Lead ensures that manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of excellence. Through effective leadership and meticulous auditing, this role contributes significantly to the delivery of consistent, high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Verify and document product and process conformance to the organization’s standards and requirements, document, and report discrepancies.
- Collect and analyze samples from finished goods before reaching the customer.
- Contain and report suspect products and processes not in control.
- Dimension and register Measurement System Analysis samples.
- Assist with root cause investigations for product and process issues.
- Monitor key equipment process parameters.
- Maintain Inspection, measurement, and test equipment within the organization.
- Accurately document and report measurement results.
- Perform process audits.
- Perform as a team-player and proactively supporting the continuous improvement process by attending workshops, developing, and adjusting standard work instructions, taking part in problem solving meetings and helping to find root causes.
- Support in developing and improving their own work environment to reach the target Customer PPM, IQC, Internal PPM,Customer Complaints, Scrap and other H&T and department measures.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of quality technicians and quality operators.
- Provide training to quality technicians and quality operators on quality control procedures, techniques, and equipment operation.
- Ensure the team's adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages growth and development.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and address non-conformances, defects, and deviations, collaborating with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection findings.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experience in a high volume, tight tolerance process manufacturing environment.
- Use of hand inspection gages, laser profilometer and contractor inspection equipment - preferred
- Yellow belt six sigma and problem-solving experience - preferred
- Knowledge of CPK, Statistical Process Control - preferred
- ISO 9001 experience – preferred
- Communicates with all levels of management and personnel.
- Oral communication skills are needed for training, instruction, and transferring technical information.
- Good written skills for ISO procedures.
- Highest level of confidentiality.

- Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit.
- Must be able to work in an environment that is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- Ability to communicate and listen.

- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to occasionally lift (up to 25 pounds).
