Quality Assurance Specialist
Description

Position Summary

Bacompt is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to help ensure that software developed and released across RevOne Companies is functional, reliable, secure, compliant, and easy to use. This position performs comprehensive end-to-end testing of healthcare SaaS and PaaS applications, internal business systems, client and consumer portals, APIs, integrations, reports, and other technology used throughout RevOne Companies.

The ideal candidate combines strong manual and automated testing experience with sound product judgment. The specialist must be able to determine whether a complete workflow functions as intended, identify risks beyond a predefined test script, and evaluate whether the user interface and overall experience are clear, consistent, accessible, and appropriate for the intended audience.

Essential Duties of the Position

  • Develop, maintain, and execute risk-based test plans, test cases, test scripts, automated tests, regression suites, exploratory scenarios, and release-readiness checklists.
  • Perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, smoke, exploratory, negative, cross-browser, responsive, accessibility, user acceptance, and production-validation testing
  • Test complete workflows from the initial user action through system processing, APIs and integrations, database updates, notifications, reporting, payment or transaction activity, and final user-visible results.
  • Validate web applications, SaaS and PaaS products, internal tools, client-facing portals, patient or consumer experiences, APIs, data exchanges, batch processes, reports, exports, and third-party integrations.
  • Confirm data accuracy, completeness, formatting, reconciliation, persistence, and auditability across applications, databases, imports, exports, reports, and integrated systems.
  • Evaluate UI/UX quality, including navigation, workflow sequence, layout, spacing, typography, labels, instructions, forms, dashboards, error messages, loading states, confirmations, responsiveness, and accessibility.
  • Identify confusing workflows, inconsistent components, misleading labels, unnecessary steps, preventable user errors, accessibility barriers, and departures from approved designs or established product patterns.
  • Determine whether users can understand what to do next, complete key tasks efficiently, recover from mistakes, and receive clear feedback after an action.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects and usability concerns through resolution, including clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, supporting evidence, severity, affected users, and business impact.
  • Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing to confirm that corrections do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  • Review requirements, user stories, process maps, designs, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, ambiguity, missing error handling, downstream impacts, and testing concerns before release.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, product demonstrations, production validation, and go/no-go discussions; communicate testing status, coverage, defects, blockers, and residual risks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide an evidence-based quality recommendation before release and escalate critical concerns involving privacy, security, payment activity, data integrity, regulatory exposure, or material user harm.
  • Build working knowledge of RevOne Companies' services, users, workflows, systems, and interdependencies so testing reflects actual business operations across entities.
  • Improve QA processes, automation, regression coverage, test data, release checklists, quality metrics, and documentation standards
Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software quality assurance, software testing, or comparable product-quality experience.
  • Experience testing healthcare technology, revenue-cycle applications, financial or insurance applications, or other software operating in a regulated or sensitive-data environment.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing of modern web-based SaaS and/or PaaS applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design thorough tests from business workflows, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, designs, and incomplete or ambiguous information.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, exploratory, negative, API, cross-browser, and release-validation testing.
  • Experience documenting and managing defects in Jira or a comparable Agile work-management platform.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices, the Software Development Lifecycle, and the Software Testing Lifecycle.
  • Strong visual attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistent interfaces, confusing interactions, weak error handling, accessibility concerns, and workflow friction.
  • Ability to distinguish personal design preference from evidence-based usability concerns and clearly explain user and business impact.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, prioritization, communication, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple testing priorities, and meet release timelines while collaborating with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Healthcare, Privacy & Security Responsibilities

  • Perform testing in accordance with HIPAA requirements and RevOne Companies' privacy, security, compliance, and data-handling standards.
  • Understand and follow requirements for handling Protected Health Information, Personally Identifiable Information, payment data, credentials, production data, test data, data masking, and de-identification.
  • Validate authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, permissions, session behavior, account recovery, audit trails, and least-privilege access.
  • Verify that users can access only the records, functions, reports, and administrative capabilities appropriate to their assigned roles and business needs.
  • Test unauthorized and inappropriate-access scenarios and verify that sensitive information is not exposed through screens, URLs, browser storage, reports, exports, notifications, errors, logs, APIs, integrations, or testing evidence.
  • Promptly escalate suspected privacy, security, compliance, financial, or data-integrity concerns through the appropriate channels.

Preferred Qualifications of the Position

  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable browser-automation framework.
  • Experience with Postman or comparable API-testing tools and familiarity with REST APIs, web services, JSON, authentication methods, and response validation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, database testing, and data troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted applications and Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, test-environment management, and automated quality gates.
  • Knowledge of usability principles, responsive design, design systems, visual-regression testing, and accessibility standards such as WCAG.
  • Experience reviewing Figma or comparable design prototypes and validating implementation against design specifications.
  • Familiarity with healthcare revenue-cycle workflows, patient financial engagement, medical billing, insurance follow-up, collections, eligibility, payment plans, HL7, or FHIR.
  • Exposure to performance, load, security, mobile, or accessibility testing and relevant QA, Agile, accessibility, security, cloud, or healthcare technology certifications.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Quality Assurance Specialist can take a business workflow, user story, design, technical change, or release candidate and determine how it should be tested from beginning to end. The individual does more than follow a predefined script: they understand intended outcomes, challenge assumptions, explore failure scenarios, validate downstream effects, and determine whether the resulting experience is reliable and easy for the intended user to understand.

Success includes reducing defects that reach production, improving release confidence, strengthening regression and automation coverage, identifying privacy and data-integrity concerns before release, and helping Bacompt deliver consistent, high-quality experiences across RevOne Companies. Over time, the specialist will develop deep knowledge of RevOne's products and workflows, take increasing ownership of release-quality activities, establish measurable quality trends, and become a trusted partner to development, operations, product, project, compliance, and business leadership.
