Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Clark Partington is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of personal injury experience and a strong understanding of both the pre-litigation and litigation phases of a personal injury case. The successful candidate will be a proactive and dependable team member, strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and other members of the legal team.

Requirements


  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through settlement, litigation, and trial preparation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, consistent communication and regular case updates.
  • Request, collect, review, and organize medical records, billing statements, and other case-related documentation.
  • Prepare medical chronologies, case summaries, and supporting documentation for settlement demands.
  • Draft, review, and finalize settlement demand packages with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with liens, negotiate reductions when appropriate, coordinate with providers, and prepare closing statements and settlement disbursement documentation.
  • Draft and prepare litigation documents, including complaints, initial disclosures, discovery requests and responses, interrogatories, requests for production, motions, witness lists, and exhibit lists.
  • Coordinate and manage discovery, including tracking deadlines and gathering information and documents needed for responses.
  • Manage electronic filings in both state and federal courts.
  • Organize and maintain case files and calendars to ensure all deadlines, pleadings, discovery, and other required submissions are completed timely.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist with depositions, including organizing exhibits and preparing deposition summaries.
  • Support attorneys with mediation and trial preparation, including organizing evidence, exhibits, witness materials, and other case documents.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding records, treatment, discovery, and other case-related matters.
  • Collaborate regularly with attorneys and other members of the legal team to move cases efficiently toward resolution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, with litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle, including pre-litigation, discovery, settlement, and litigation processes.
  • Experience with state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
  • Experience drafting complaints, discovery requests and responses, interrogatories, requests for production, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout the life of their case.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software required.

Salary Description
$25 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience
