Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR Department. The Human Resources Generalist will interact with many external HR systems including Workman’s compensation, Unemployment, and Payroll in addition to C&J Catering’s internal HR systems created and maintained by the Senior Human Resources Business Partner while adhering to all C&J Policies and regulations. The Human Resources Generalist will be professional, hold confidentiality, work quickly yet effectively while maintaining a personable demeanor with all employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for professionally communicating with employees to troubleshoot all HR tech issues by phone, email, and virtually.
- Responsible for executing all tasks to complete payroll submission and maintenance in Paylocity
- Responsible for executing all tasks for recruiting, onboarding and offboarding procedures via Paylocity
- Responsible for executing all tasks for benefits administration and maintenance
- Responsible for executing all tasks for injuries, Workman’s compensation claims and OSHA 300 tracking
- Responsible for executing all tasks for Unemployment claims including attending hearings
- Responsible for coding all HRIS changes in Paylocity
- Responsible for daily communication and task completion for all internal HR tickets
- Responsible for all HR portions of the Safety Committee including Co-Chairing
- Responsible for managing the I9 system
- Responsible for managing the temp agency processes
- Responsible for managing HR trackers
- Responsible for running HR reports and audits
- Responsible for assigned HR projects
- Assist with Progressive Discipline compliance
- Assist with Incident investigations
- Assist with Performance reviews via Paylocity
- Assist with updating the Employee Handbook
- Assist with C&J wide training functions
- Professionally and timely communication of concerns, issues or updates directly to the Senior HR Business Partner
- Have a clean 5-year driving background to travel to various C&J locations as needed
- All other job duties as assigned
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to: Senior Human Resources Business Partner
- Liaise with: CFO, Business Office Manager, IT and employees
- Directly supervises: N/A

- Ability to switch from complex to repetitious tasks as needed involving shredding, copying, printing, scanning and organizing digital records.
- Ability to travel to any C&J Catering location as needed using personal vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience in the human resources field post Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Experience with HRIS, Time and Labor, Payroll, ACA, and Performance review functions of Paylocity. Other experience to include Workman’s compensation, Benefits Administration, Progressive Discipline compliance, Incident investigations, Unemployment, Safety committee, life cycle management of all employees, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets and Outlook email/calendar.
- CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Valid Driver’s License and a clean 5-year driving record.
- LANGUAGE: Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language is required.

- TRAINING: Any training held is mandatory.
- PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist fellow employees where needed.
- WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: The industry is a fast-paced environment which may require frequent walking, frequent sitting, long hours, and the ability to quickly support the work of the leadership team in its expansion efforts, in both breadth and depth.
- ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Maintain a regular standard office schedule from Monday-Friday with some flexibility to meet with needs of the company as they arise in the evenings or weekends.
