Scrap Management of Oklahoma is looking for full time, dependable, safety-minded MIG and arc welders to join our Oklahoma City team. If you take pride in strong welds, solid fabrication work, and keeping heavy equipment and scrapyard operations moving, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Pay is based on experience.

Requirements

 

· Perform MIG welding, arc welding, fabrication, and repair work on equipment, trailers, containers, and other metal assemblies.

· Repair and fabricate parts used throughout scrapyard operations, including worn or damaged components that need to be rebuilt or replaced.

· Use welding, cutting, torching, fabrication, and hand tools safely and effectively.

· Assist with equipment, shredder, and maintenance repairs as directed.

· Inspect tools, specialty welding equipment, and work areas before use to identify damage, hazards, or needed repairs.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding area by removing debris, hazards, and unnecessary materials.

· Follow company safety standards, OSHA requirements, and proper welding and torching procedures at all times.

· Wear required PPE, including welding hood, gloves, leather clothing, face shield, and safety glasses.

· Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and correctly.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Previous welding, fabrication, maintenance, or industrial repair experience preferred.

· Must be safety-minded and able to follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.

· Must understand safe welding, cutting, and torching practices.

· Ability to use a variety of hand tools and welding/fabrication equipment.

· Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.

· Ability and willingness to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.

· Dependable, self-motivated, and ready to take pride in quality work.
