What You'll Do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
As an Evening CNA, you'll work as part of a dedicated nursing team to provide direct care and support to residents in a designated neighborhood, which may include long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care.
Your evening will include:
- Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and dining assistance
- Assisting residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe techniques
- Helping residents prepare for the evening and bedtime routines
- Monitoring residents and promptly reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
- Encouraging independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
- Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
What We're Looking For
We're looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are reliable, compassionate, and committed to treating every resident with dignity.
Qualifications include:
- Active certification on the Maine CNA Registry in good standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Basic computer proficiency
- Sound judgment and commitment to resident confidentiality
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Your Evening Schedule
3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
- Most schedules include every other weekend
- Evening shift differential may apply
- Consistent shift hours provide a predictable routine
