Position Details:

Department: Convalescent Care

Reports to: Clinical Director

Schedule/Type: PRN – onsite/hourly

Days: Monday–Friday, variable

Shifts: 12-hour shifts available – Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. | Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Wage: $50/hr.

Night Shift Differential: Additional $7/hr. for shifts worked from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Bonus Eligibility: No

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert postoperative care and monitor patient recovery
  • Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and the care team on individualized plans
  • Manage pain and symptoms, administer medications, and use non-medication interventions
  • Perform wound care and educate patients and families on recovery at home
  • Document care accurately and uphold infection control and safety standards
  • Offer emotional support to help patients feel confident and cared for

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-paced settings
  • Knowledge of surgical recovery and ability to spot complications early
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to patient privacy, data accuracy, and safety protocols

Requirements

  • Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Current Colorado RN license
  • BCLS & ACLS certification
  • 2 years experience as an RN in a professional medical setting required, orthopedic care experience (strongly preferred)
