Oversee production line operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and team performance.


  

Core Responsibilities


Supervision and Team Management: Direct and develop a team of operators, assign tasks, conduct shift briefings, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training for new and existing staff, maintaining competency matrices and performance records.


Production Oversight: Monitor daily production targets, track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, yield, and scrap rates, and implement corrective actions to meet efficiency and output goals. Operate machinery and assist in assembly tasks when needed.


Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards. Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), perform first-article inspections, and address defects through root cause analysis and corrective action plans.


Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment. Enforce OSHA, and other regulatory standards, conduct safety observations, lead near-miss investigations, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.


Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production flexibility and reduce downtime.


Administrative Duties: Manage inventory, maintain production records, and coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine equipment troubleshooting and first-line mechanical or electrical adjustments.
  • Support safety programs to improve behavior and prevent incidents.
  • Facilitate communication between shifts and departments to maintain operational continuity.

Requirements
  • Must have previous experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
