Corporate Controller

Description

We’re looking for a hands-on financial leader to drive accounting and finance strategy while partnering with senior leadership and departments across the organization. This role will lead the finance team, strengthen financial performance, safeguard company assets, and ensure accurate financial reporting. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the monthly financial closing and reporting process.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage automation to improve department efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports and related disclosures for executive management and the Board of Directors.
  • Report daily cash position, prepare Borrowing Base Certificate for bank.
  • Lead all external audit processes (Ex. Year-end accounting, bank, insurance, and sales tax.).
  • Manages bi-weekly payroll including processing financial and reporting forms as required by State agencies. (Ex. Garnishment, court ordered child support and/or insurance support).
  • Lead annual preparation of the budget.
  • Develop, implement and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations and legal requirements as it relates to accounting functions.
  • Manage the work of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable personnel.
  • Prepare schedules as requested for compilation of corporate income tax and Sales/Use tax returns.
  • Work directly with accounting/audit firm, and do research necessary to ensure reports are prepared/presented in accordance with GAAP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related coursework.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment to demonstrate expertise in knowledge and skills required. 
  • MBA, CPA, and/or CMA certification desired.
