As a key leader within the firm, the Partner drives excellence across both legal practice and business operations. This influential role combines sophisticated legal expertise with strategic leadership, overseeing complex matters while mentoring attorneys, leading high-performing teams, and shaping the firm's long-term success. Partners serve as trusted advisors to clients, delivering innovative solutions, advocating in court and administrative proceedings, and developing strategies grounded in a deep understanding of evolving laws and regulations.


Beyond client representation, Partners play a vital role in the growth and direction of the firm by contributing to talent acquisition, attorney development, financial planning, compliance initiatives, and operational effectiveness. They help cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation while building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand the firm's reach and impact.


Primary Job Duties:

  • Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation matters.
  • Handle claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and leave and accommodation issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and position statements.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Counsel employers on workplace policies, employee relations matters, investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with firm attorneys across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and responsive service.
  • Participate in business development and networking efforts to support continued growth of the practice.
  • Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required

Requirements

 

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar and good standing status.
  • Minimum of 5 years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Strong litigation experience, including drafting motions and managing discovery.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience counseling employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Superior communication and client service skills.
  • Experience representing employers in EEOC, DOL, and state agency proceedings (preferred but not required)
  • Trial experience or significant hearing experience
