Job Summary:
The FTZ Coordinator & Machine Logistics Administrator is responsible for the daily administration, compliance, inventory control, and recordkeeping activities associated with the Methods Machine Tools Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations in Acton, Massachusetts. The position also supports machine logistics planning and execution under the direction of the Logistics Manager.
This role serves as the primary administrative owner of FTZ transactions, customs documentation coordination, and machine inventory movement tracking while providing logistical support for domestic and international machine shipments. Working closely with the Logistics Manager and Production Shipping & Receiving, this individual will help coordinate machine movements from manufacturers through warehousing and final customer delivery while ensuring compliance with FTZ and customs requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Foreign Trade Zone Administration (50%)
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Acton FTZ warehouse.
- Coordinate all FTZ admissions, withdrawals, transfers, and inventory transactions.
- Maintain FTZ inventory accuracy and transaction records.
- Prepare and organize documentation required for customs broker processing.
- Coordinate with customs brokers regarding FTZ entries, withdrawals, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain all FTZ files, records, and supporting documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits, inventory reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor inventory status and ensure all machine movements are accurately recorded.
- Assist with annual FTZ reporting and compliance activities.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and transaction exceptions.
Machine Logistics Administration (35%)
- Support Logistics Manager in coordinating inbound and outbound machine transportation activities.
- Schedule and monitor freight movements between ports, warehouses, Methods facilities, and customer sites.
- Coordinate trucking, drayage, rigging, and specialty transportation providers.
- Manage shipment documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, freight invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Track machine shipments and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with machine delivery scheduling and transportation planning activities.
- Coordinate communication between logistics providers, sales operations, service teams, and customers.
- Support issue resolution related to transportation delays, damage claims, or shipment discrepancies.
Inventory & ERP Administration (15%)
- Maintain machine inventory transactions within ERP systems.
- Track serial numbers and machine locations throughout the supply chain.
- Process transfers, receipts, and shipment transactions.
- Support inventory reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
- Generate logistics, inventory, and FTZ reporting as required.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Advanced attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with transportation, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with customs, import/export, bonded warehouse, or FTZ environments.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP transactions.
- Experience coordinating transportation providers and freight carriers.

Salary:
$67,447.22 - $84,308.75
The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, and may exceed the posted range for highly qualified candidates.
