Executive Narrative: The Analyst, Water & Energy Services is a foundational technical professional responsible for executing and supporting water and energy treatment programs across GWT’s client portfolio. This role represents the front line of GWT’s Water & Energy Services platform, where technical execution, client presence, and service quality directly shape the client experience and the performance of GWT’s solutions. The Analyst applies established technical procedures and methodologies to monitor system performance, identify deviations, and support the implementation of corrective actions. Through consistent field execution, accurate data collection, and disciplined reporting, the Analyst ensures that GWT’s technical programs operate reliably and in alignment with company standards.
Beyond technical execution, the Analyst plays an important role in client engagement. They serve as a regular point of contact at client sites, contributing to trusted relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical competence. The Analyst develops a growing understanding of client systems, operational priorities, and business needs, laying the groundwork for deeper technical and commercial contributions over time. The Analyst also represents the early stage of GWT’s technical talent pipeline. Through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, the Analyst builds technical capability, field judgment, and problem-solving skills that support future progression across technical, commercial, or leadership pathways within the Water & Energy Services organization.
In essence, the Analyst is a critical contributor to the consistency, reliability, and scalability of GWT’s Water & Energy Services platform, ensuring that technical excellence is delivered at the point of service while developing the foundational skills that underpin long-term growth
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Service Execution
· Execute water and energy treatment programs across boilers, cooling towers, closed-loop systems, potable water, wastewater, and pretreatment processes.
· Perform routine system inspections, sampling, testing, and equipment checks to ensure program performance and compliance.
· Identify and report system deviations, risks, or performance gaps to Managers and Engineers.
Program Support and Optimization
· Support implementation of corrective actions, program adjustments, and system improvements under guidance from Managers and Engineers.
· Assist in the deployment of new equipment, treatment strategies, and program upgrades.
· Contribute to technical documentation, service reports, and client deliverables.
Client Engagement and Communication
· Maintain professional, client-facing presence at assigned sites.
· Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
· Support client education regarding system operation and best practices.
Collaboration and Development
· Work closely with Engineers, Managers, and Senior Managers to support account objectives.
· Participate in technical training, mentorship, and skill development.
· Develop foundational understanding of GWT technical standards and methodologies.
Commercial and Growth Support
· Assist in identifying technical opportunities for program enhancement within existing accounts.
· Support technical discovery and implementation for new or expanding client opportunities in partnership with Managers and Business Development teams.
M&A and Platform Support
· Support integration of acquired accounts and technical programs under guidance from Managers and Engineers.
· Learn and adopt GWT technical standards and service models during integration activities.
Typical Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in science, engineering, technical, or related fields preferred.
· 0–5+ years of experience in water treatment, industrial services, facilities operations, mechanical trades, or related fields.
· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working in hands-on, technical environments.
· Strong interest in learning industrial water systems, chemistry, and mechanical processes.
· Ability to follow technical procedures, collect accurate data, and document findings clearly.
· Basic analytical skills with the ability to identify deviations or issues and escalate appropriately.
· Professional, client-facing demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with Managers, Engineers, and technical teams.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in dynamic, field-based environments.
· Willingness to participate in technical training and professional development.
· Proficiency with basic computer applications and digital reporting tools.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company screening requirements.
· Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or similar credential preferred or targeted.
Working Conditions: The Analyst is a field-based position with the majority of work performed at client facilities, including mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, industrial production facilities, healthcare environments, and commercial buildings. The role requires regular travel within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel depending on geography and client needs. Availability outside standard business hours may be required to support client operations and program continuity.
Physical Requirements: The role involves regular movement within industrial environments, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in confined mechanical spaces. The Analyst must be able to carry testing equipment, tools, and materials and lift objects up to approximately 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle and utilize standard office and field technology.
