ASCC is seeking a Healthcare Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support communication and technology systems in healthcare facilities and customer locations throughout Central and Eastern Pennsylvania. This position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in clinical and operational environments.
Following product and systems training, the Healthcare Technician will be responsible for system installation, service, maintenance, documentation, and customer support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain communication system hardware, devices, and associated cabling.
- Diagnose system issues and perform repairs using established troubleshooting techniques.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including inventory, repair, and service records.
- Maintain system programming and configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with the ASCC Sales team to support customer needs and project requirements.
- Communicate with manufacturers and technical support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Provide professional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency service outside normal business hours.
- Conduct vehicle and warehouse inventory audits as assigned.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and customer site protocols, including healthcare facility requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical training, certifications, degree, or relevant experience in electronics, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, healthcare technology, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of IP networking concepts and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in sterile healthcare environments, confined spaces, and active construction or renovation areas.
- Experience operating power tools and installation equipment.
- Experience pulling cable, terminating devices, and testing installed systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics.
- Familiarity with common IT terminology and technology concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, project managers, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and off-hours when required.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
