The Office of Student Success & Engagement is seeking two creative, innovative, and motivated students to serve as Student Engagement Content Creators. These student employees will create engaging digital content that promotes campus life, student involvement, traditions, leadership opportunities, and events while strengthening the Student Success & Engagement brand. This position is 15-20 hours per week.
Working closely with the Director of Student Engagement and in collaboration with the College's Marketing Department, Student Engagement Content Creators will develop authentic content that connects with current students while showcasing the Stephens College experience to prospective students and their families. These positions play an important role in increasing student engagement, supporting recruitment efforts, and creating a vibrant online presence that reflects the student experience at Stephens College.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create engaging content for the Student Success & Engagement social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Capture photos and videos during campus events, student programs, and activities.
- Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, short-form videos, graphics, and promotional materials using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar software.
- Develop original content highlighting student life, traditions, leadership opportunities, campus events, and student involvement.
- Ensure all content aligns with Stephens College branding and communication standards.
- Develop creative marketing campaigns that encourage student participation in campus events and activities.
- Brainstorm innovative ideas that appeal to Gen Z audiences and increase engagement across social media platforms.
- Stay informed on current social media trends and recommend new strategies to enhance student interaction.
- Showcase authentic student experiences that support student recruitment and enrollment efforts.
- Assist in planning and maintaining a social media content calendar.
- Draft captions and promotional messaging.
- Schedule and publish approved content.
- Monitor audience engagement and assist with tracking analytics and campaign performance.
- Meet regularly with the Director of Student Engagement to plan content and marketing initiatives.
- Participate in biweekly meetings with the College Marketing Department to align messaging and branding.
- Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to promote events and highlight student experiences.
- Attend major Student Success & Engagement events to capture live content, create pre-event promotions, and produce post-event recaps.
- Conduct student interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes features.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.

- Current Stephens College student in good academic standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends during major campus events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or similar platforms.
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design/editing software.
- Photography and/or videography experience.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and engaging with fellow students.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics.
- Passion for student involvement and creating engaging digital content.
