Blue Sky Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Analyst III to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this role, you will play a critical role in the credit decision-making process by performing comprehensive financial and risk analysis for commercial lending relationships. You'll work independently on complex credit requests, monitor portfolio risk, and assist lenders in maintaining a safe and sound loan portfolio while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policy.

What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive financial and credit analysis for new and existing commercial lending relationships
  • Evaluate borrower financial statements, cash flow, repayment capacity, and overall creditworthiness
  • Assist lenders in structuring credit facilities and identifying appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and maintain detailed, high-quality credit memorandums and underwriting recommendations
  • Monitor commercial loan relationships and identify emerging credit risks
  • Recommend risk rating and grading changes based on ongoing portfolio performance
  • Evaluate collateral, covenant compliance, and financial trends to support ongoing credit monitoring
  • Analyze industry data and market conditions to enhance risk assessments
  • Assess collateral quality and support appropriate loan structures and approval parameters
  • Review and analyze: Accounts Receivable Aging Reports, Borrowing Base Certificates, Rent Rolls, Loan Covenant Compliance, Financial Statements and Cash Flow Analysis, and On-site Collateral Inspections, as needed.
  • Provide meaningful analysis regarding collateral values, inherent risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Partner closely with lenders to facilitate loan approvals, renewals, extensions, and ongoing monitoring
  • Coordinate the timely collection of financial information and clearance of loan exceptions
  • Support efficient credit administration processes and portfolio maintenance efforts
  • Collaborate with departments across the bank to ensure a seamless lending process
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and fair lending standards
  • Maintain consistency and quality within the credit underwriting process
  • Demonstrate leadership through sound judgment, professionalism, and constructive collaboration
  • Serve as a trusted resource for lenders and internal business partners
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of commercial credit analysis/underwriting experience at a financial institution required. C&I and real estate experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial credit analysis and underwriting
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex credit relationships and make sound recommendations
Salary Description
$85,000 - $110,000 per year
