Job Description:

Millennial Software is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. You will design, implement, maintain, and improve DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines that support software development, integration, testing, and deployment. Our ideal candidate is an experienced DevOps Engineer who can automate infrastructure and application delivery while working across modern CI/CD, containerization, configuration management, and cloud technologies.


You will work closely with software and systems engineers to develop automated solutions that improve development and deployment processes. This role will support hybrid environments and utilize a range of open-source and commercial technologies to deliver secure, reliable, and repeatable infrastructure and application deployments.


Essential Functions:

  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, Cypress, ArgoCD, and similar technologies.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve pipeline automation, security, testing, and deployment capabilities.
  • Automate deployment and configuration of DevSecOps tools and application services using Keycloak, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher, and other containerized technologies.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD solutions that support rapid software development, integration, testing, and delivery.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate and standardize infrastructure and environment deployments.
  • Integrate static code analysis, security scanning, and other automated security controls into development and deployment pipelines.
  • Design and support hybrid deployment strategies across cloud and local virtualized environments.
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineers to implement automated testing and documentation processes.
  • Develop and monitor metrics dashboards to track deployment status, pipeline performance, and test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, automation pipeline, and deployment issues.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management processes for release products and application environments.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related discipline
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Bash, Python, Jenkins, or GitLab
  • Experience with automated deployment technologies such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience deploying cloud technologies using OpenStack or OpenShift
  • Experience deploying and maintaining open-source applications
  • Experience deploying and maintaining custom software applications
  • Experience with Linux system administration, including Red Hat and/or CentOS
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, web services, and SQL databases
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite

Nice to have:

  • Security+ or comparable certification supporting privileged user access
  • Experience with distributed processing technologies and architectures, including REST APIs, microservices, and IaaS/PaaS services
  • Experience developing and deploying web services
  • Experience supporting software applications in a production environment
