Sterile Services Co. (SSC) is hiring a Logistics Analyst II to support the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC) – Force Projection Directorate (FPD) in Frederick, MD. This position provides professional medical logistics and analytical support for mission-critical operations involving medical materiel readiness, inventory management, distribution planning, force projection, and sustainment activities. The Logistics Analyst II will perform logistics analyses, develop recommendations to improve supply chain performance, and support key Army medical readiness programs, including Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) missions.
Logistics Planning and Analysis
- Analyze and develop logistics plans impacting medical materiel production, distribution, storage, transportation, and inventory management operations.
- Evaluate logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, enhance readiness, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply chain risks.
- Assist in developing and maintaining logistics reports, mission analysis products, readiness assessments, and workload metrics.
Medical Materiel Management
- Support accountability and management of Class VIII medical materiel and equipment.
- Assist with inventory control, stock positioning, reconciliation, and disposition activities.
- Monitor supply requirements and coordinate distribution actions supporting operational and contingency missions.
- Support the management of medical sets, sustainment materiel, and readiness assets maintained by AMLC FPD.
Mission Support Operations
- Assist in planning and executing logistics activities supporting exercises, deployments, contingency operations, and force projection missions.
- Support Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) activities through research, planning, coordination, and reporting.
- Coordinate with Government personnel, supply activities, and supported organizations to ensure timely fulfillment of mission requirements.
- Prepare correspondence, briefing materials, executive summaries, reports, and logistics documentation in accordance with Army standards.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Develop, review, and recommend procedures related to inventory control, distribution management, and logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Army, AMLC, and FPD policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous process improvement initiatives supporting organizational readiness and operational effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent military or professional experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or medical logistics experience.
- Working knowledge of logistics principles, inventory management practices, distribution operations, and supply chain processes.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and logistics information systems.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide sound recommendations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical logistics concepts, supply chain management principles, and inventory control techniques.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data to support operational decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Government personnel and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC), USAMMA, MEDLOG organizations, or medical readiness programs.
- Experience supporting Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), or Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) operations.
- Military logistics experience.
- Knowledge of Class VIII medical materiel management and medical readiness operations.
Security Requirement
The individual selected for this position must possess or obtain a completed National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC) / Tier 3 (T3) background investigation containing no unfavorable information. The investigation must be conducted by the appropriate Government authority and/or adjudicated by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or successor organization prior to contract performance.
