Position Overview

LG Group is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations and construction execution for multifamily, mixed-use, and high-rise residential developments throughout Chicago.


Unlike a traditional general contractor environment, this role offers direct exposure to both development and construction, creating opportunities to collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams from preconstruction through project completion. The Senior Superintendent serves as the primary field leader responsible for site safety, quality, schedule performance, workforce planning, trade partner management, and overall project execution.


This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing Develop-Build platform, oversee complex construction projects, mentor field teams, and help deliver some of Chicago's most impactful residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Lead field operations from preconstruction planning through project turnover and closeout
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, site logistics plans, and workforce forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Drive project sequencing and daily field execution to achieve schedule milestones
  • Oversee site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Monitor quality control processes and ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications
  • Conduct field inspections, manage punch lists, and oversee closeout activities
  • Coordinate material deliveries, manpower planning, and project logistics
  • Track project progress and communicate schedule updates, risks, and field issues
  • Mentor and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field staff
  • Partner closely with Project Managers and leadership teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, or equivalent construction experience
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with significant experience leading multifamily, mixed-use, or high-rise projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, quality management, safety compliance, and field operations
  • Proven ability to manage complex site logistics and coordinate multiple trades simultaneously
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, specifications, and project documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management platforms
