Summary:
The Bilingual Gift Shop Cashier supports the Gift Shop Manager with promoting, retailing and merchandising of religious materials in the San Francisco de la Espada Gift Shop. Assists with pricing and stocking merchandise; greeting customers and visitors coming to the Gift Shop as opportunities for evangelization. Provides assistance and instruction when appropriate to customers in the selection of religious gifts and sacramentals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the Gift Shop Manager with providing an atmosphere of ministry and evangelization in the gift shop at all times for customers and visitors.
- *Bilingual, English and Spanish, must be able to communicate verbally and written.
- Assist with the stocking, presentation and retailing of merchandise.
- *Assists with greeting customers, providing assistance and responding to inquiries from the public.
- Assists with monitoring inventory and communicates to the gift shop manager for reordering of merchandise.
- Assists with overseeing daily sales including cash register and Square.
- *Balancing and depositing money in the safe as necessary.
- Assists the manager in monitoring the receiving of merchandise, verifying merchandise to shipping/delivery documents, noting discrepancies on shipping/delivery documents, and signing receipt of shipping/delivery documents.
- Assists with cleaning and maintaining store appearance including cleaning floors and shelving.
- *Secures the gift shop on a daily basis
- Must maintain neat and professional appearance at all times
- Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency, required
- One year experience in retail
- Excellent communication skills for corresponding to customers
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Ability to use a cash register and or Square, preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Sound judgment, professional presence, decision-making, and ability to work in a team environment, required
- Practicing Roman Catholic and knowledge of the Roman Catholic theology, required
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Manual dexterity with hands fingers, arms, shoulders, elbow, required; ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, etc.
- Flexible to work different work schedules including weekends
