Position Summary:

The Special Accounts Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of customer shipments using a non-CDL box truck. This position supports designated special-account customers and requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, organized, and comfortable working independently while handling time-sensitive deliveries. Because this position supports specialized delivery routes, candidates must be flexible and available for early morning start times, including shifts beginning as early as 3:00 AM.

• Handle time-sensitive and customer-specific deliveries with accuracy and care.
• Follow established delivery procedures and route requirements for designated accounts.
• Maintain a professional and service-oriented relationship with customers.
• Verify shipments, delivery documentation, and quantities prior to and during delivery.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload shipments.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling customer shipments and information.
• Communicate promptly regarding delays, delivery issues, damaged shipments, or other exceptions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly maintained delivery vehicle.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable transportation requirements.
• Work independently while maintaining consistent communication with dispatch and management.
• May be required to work early morning hours, with start times as early as 3:00 AM.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Previous delivery, route driving, courier, transportation, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a non-CDL box truck, van, and/or flatbed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific delivery instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable using technology and electronic devices, including handheld scanners, mobile devices, tablets, and electronic delivery systems.
• Ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and update delivery information using electronic devices and software.
• Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific delivery, routing, tracking, and communication systems.
• Professional appearance and customer-service skills.
• Ability to handle customer-sensitive shipments appropriately.
• Availability to work early morning schedules, including start times as early as 3:00 AM.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload packages and shipments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive delivery environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles, and equipment
• Ability to push/pull/maneuver shipments in/out/around vehicles, and customer locations

• Warehouse and trucking facility environment
• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
• Interaction with warehouse personnel, drivers, vendors, and management
