The Organization:
The Athens Orthopedic Clinic Team includes 400 dedicated clinicians, technologists, and administrators whom serve over 237,000 patients each year. We are a thriving, physician-led, independent orthopedic practice that has been committed to the North Georgia community for over 60 years. Our practice encompasses 10 regional locations, three wholly owned ambulatory surgery centers, MRI/CT Imaging Centers, a comprehensive Outpatient Therapy Network, a premier Occupational Medicine Center, and Northeast Georgia’s only Orthopedic Urgent Care Centers. Our services operate 7-days per week to deliver on our promise that “access matters”. The AOC contributions to medical education and research are extensive, with numerous ongoing studies and over 150 medical students hosted in the past decade. Many of our physicians serve as Teaching Faculty at the University of Georgia School of Medicine, and the Medical College of Georgia where they play a pivotal role in training and preparing the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
Job Description:
The Accounting Associate will perform a variety of business office functions including accounts payable management. This position supports ongoing process improvements for all bookkeeping activities.
Responsibilities:
o Post deposits daily for all companies.
o Pull reports from Paylocity and enter bi-weekly payroll in QuickBooks Online.
o Do HSA payments and internal bank transfers as needed.
o Reconcile corporate credit cards for all companies.
o Check vendor statements to QuickBooks as they come in.
o Write/print refund and vendor checks for all companies.
o Maintain internal/external lease documents and update payments as needed
o Help reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
o Develop financial analysis for performance improvement.
Experience/ Qualifications:
o Minimum 5 years accounts payable and payroll processing experience; at least 3 years with medium to large corporation
o Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
o Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
