Responsible for production equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities. This role is a hands-on maintenance position supporting a modern machining facility that operates CNC machines and related shop equipment. The CNC Machine Tool Maintenance Technician performs both emergency repairs and preventive maintenance by troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
- Support CNC lathes, mills, and other CNC manufacturing equipment by diagnosing issues and performing corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Work with industrial electrical components, including motors, relays, contactors, breakers, transformers, and electrical circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, machine drawings, and related technical documentation to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support robotics, PLC troubleshooting, and automation-related maintenance tasks where applicable.
- Participate in machine installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
- Create and maintain schedule of preventive maintenance required for production equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities including inspections, adjustments, and component replacement, coordinating use of outside resources as necessary.
- Catalog and maintain inventory of consumable items required for equipment maintenance.
- Catalog and maintain inventory of critical spares required to prevent equipment downtime.
- Prepare yearly maintenance budget for supplies, subcontracted services, and training.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required.
Required Competencies
- Technically sound, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC and manual machine tools, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication (in English), interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing and professional office environment. This role routinely uses power equipment and hand tools necessary for facility and machine maintenance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position which operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. It may be occasionally necessary to work flexible, extended, or Saturday hours depending on demands.
Travel
Very minimal travel is expected for this role.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical school certificate or degree a plus.
5+ years of CNC machine tool troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
5+ years of general industrial maintenance and repair experience.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and related safety guidelines.
