ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Spa Manager will lead the pre-opening mobilization and ongoing operation of Turquoise
Waters Spa at Coral Sands. This position is responsible for building a commercially successful luxury spa
operation while maintaining exceptional standards of guest service, treatment quality, safety,
cleanliness and team performance.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on, treatment-producing leader who can manage the full scope
of the business — guest journey, team performance, revenue, and operational standards — while
actively supporting service delivery during the opening ramp-up, peak demand, and team-member
absences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Pre-Opening and Mobilization
- Lead all operational planning and readiness activities for the spa opening, serving as the primary owner of pre-opening execution from hire date forward. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and training of the opening team in partnership with Operations and HR
- Implement the approved treatment menu, pricing, treatment protocols and service sequences
- Establish operating SOPs, checklists, sanitation standards and opening and closing procedures
- Coordinate product, linen, retail and operational-supply requirements and opening inventories
- Support equipment commissioning, room setup, treatment simulations and operational readiness testing
- Coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, Marketing, Development and external spa consultants
- Confirm that practitioners complete required credential checks, assessments and treatment certifications before serving guests
Operations and Guest Experience
- Lead the daily operation of the spa, salon and approved wellness programming
- Maintain a personalized luxury guest experience consistent with Coral Sands service standards
- Manage reservations, therapist utilization, treatment-room allocation and daily scheduling
- Monitor treatment quality, room presentation, sanitation, guest recovery and service consistency
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain compliance with all Bahamian health, safety, licensing and practitioner requirements
- Deliver treatments when qualified and required by operating demand
- Manage relationships with product suppliers, linen vendors and equipment service providers, working closely with them to monitor performance, troubleshoot operational issues and maintain reliable supply chains within the constraints of an island operating environment
Financial and Commercial Performance
- Manage the department according to the approved operating budget and financial controls
- Monitor revenue, payroll, product costs, retail sales and departmental profitability
- Drive treatment-room utilization, average treatment rate, retail capture, rebooking and repeat business
- Develop packages for hotel guests, villas, weddings, groups and festive periods
- Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, stock controls and professional-product usage
- Prepare regular forecasts, operating reports and performance commentary
- Identify commercial opportunities without compromising the guest experience
Leadership, Training and Quality Assurance
- Lead, coach and develop employed and scheduled/on-call practitioners
- Establish practical assessments and treatment-protocol certification
- Conduct daily briefings, service observations and ongoing skills training
- Maintain clear performance expectations and accountability
- Support a respectful, inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Implement luxury-service training and simulations aligned with Forbes principles
- Develop qualified local practitioners and create pathways for advancement

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five years of progressive luxury spa or wellness-management experience
- Previous leadership experience in a five-star hotel, resort or internationally recognized spa
- Pre-opening, reopening or major operational-mobilization experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of spa operations, treatments, retail, inventory and financial management
- Experience recruiting, training and leading multicultural teams
- Ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, payroll and operating reports
- Familiarity with Book4Time or a comparable spa scheduling and point-of-sale platform preferred
- Recognized massage, beauty, wellness or spa-management qualification
- Current first-aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification before opening
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience in an island, remote or seasonal resort environment highly desirable

- This position is based in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Bahamian nationals and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Non-Bahamian applicants must be eligible to obtain a Bahamian Work Permit; employer sponsorship will be considered for qualified candidates where the role cannot be filled by a qualified Bahamian national, in accordance with Bahamian immigration law.
- This role requires full-time, on-site presence at the resort.
- Scheduling will reflect the operational needs of a luxury hospitality environment, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
- This position requires a physical presence throughout the spa facility, including the ability to stand for extended periods of time and may involve occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
