SVI Trucks builds custom fire apparatus, including rescue trucks, hazmat units, command vehicles, fire engines, tanker trucks, law enforcement vehicles and more. Every truck that leaves the factory is truly one-of a-kind thanks to innovative engineering and meticulous construction.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and eager to learn. Whether this is your first job or you are a skilled tradesman, we have a position that may fit your skills perfectly. In this position you will be working with a detail oriented and dedicated team that strives to build quality products for first responders. You will be grinding and finishing metal parts, cutting and machining parts and raw materials, assembling modules including cabinets, shelves, and more, then you will install all the custom-built parts into the fire apparatus to ensure a quality product before it gets painted.

Essential Functions:
- The knowledge and ability to effectively use both power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and follow blueprints
- General mechanical knowledge
- General Mathematical knowledge such as addition and subtraction, and ability to understand fractions and decimals
- Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure
- Good organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Learn and apply valuable skills and gain useful knowledge
- Drive to learn how to fabricate and weld
- Ability to follow instructions explicitly
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift 70+ pounds
- Kneeling crouching and laying under vehicles is required
- Able to obtain a forklift certification
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Able to take initiative and problem solve
- Must be drug free including marijuana, pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and a background check
Qualifications:
- No degree necessary
- Quick learner interested in learning a trade, or experienced in a trade and looking to expand on knowledge
- Able to use and read a tape measure
- Must be able to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, high-energy, busy atmosphere.
- Entry level welding experience preferred
- Any form of carpentry experience preferred

Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: $18-$24/ hour
