Guest Services Associate - Winter Lights Spectacular

JOB SUMMARY:
During Winter Light Spectacular (WLS) at Lehigh Valley Zoo, Guest Services Employees (GSE) perform a variety of roles with the goal of maximizing the guest experience during the region’s most magical winter event. The role changes based on LVZ’s nightly needs and as the season evolves, as well as the skill set displayed by each GSE. The majority of GSE assignments are guests-facing and will have significant interaction with guests while working at point-of-sale locations. This position involves providing quality customer service, knowledge of our ticketing and merchandise platforms and be accessible to guests for questions and concerns. Guest satisfaction is paramount to the success of the LVZ. WLS runs 40 evenings from November through January and GSE will be scheduled based on their availability.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create and maintain a positive experience for all LVZ guests
· Train for all GSE positions and learn all roles and expectations
· Thoroughly review your GSE Handbook and Training Manually to thoroughly familiarize with Zoo expectations, policy, codes, etc.
· Understand how to sign-in/sign-out radios as well as proper usage for communications, codes or other emergencies
· Arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled event starting time
· Remain firmly at your position unless granted permission from a GSE Lead or SDO
· Contribute to daily LVZ cleanup after shift or after closing time, as needed
· Other duties as assigned by Zoo management
Training provided for the following areas:
- *Admissions (Gate/Quad/Office)
- *Merchandise/Concessions (POS Locations)

Qualifications and Experience·
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 16 years of age or older - Minors must be willing to comply fully with PA Child Labor Act and provide a valid work permit
- Willing to work hours needed to accommodate the job (weekends, holidays and evenings)
