Farm Internship
Description

Eliada is seeking motivated and dependable Farm Interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and nonprofit work. Interns will work alongside Eliada staff to maintain the farm and greenhouses while learning practical skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment. 


Previous farming or gardening experience is required. We are looking for people who are comfortable working with plants or in greenhouses. 


What You'll Do: Depending on the season and farm needs, interns may: 


• Plant, water, weed, maintain, and harvest crops 

• Prepare garden beds and assist with soil health  

• Help with farm and garden maintenance 

• Assist with harvesting produce

• Use and maintain basic hand tools safely 

• Support seasonal farm projects and volunteer workdays 

• Assist with educational or community activities connected to the farm 

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Requirements

 We are looking for someone who is: 


• Dependable and able to commit to at least 10 hours per week 

• A good listener who is comfortable following directions and asking questions 

• Comfortable working independently and alongside other 

• Interested in agriculture, horticulture, environmental stewardship, education, or nonprofit work 

• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work. Able to lift and carry 50lbs.


Schedule:


Start and end dates are flexible and will be determined based on the intern's availability, school requirements, and Eliada's seasonal farm needs.
