Description
PURPOSE
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales floor, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process, maximizing sales performance, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves coaching and mentoring sales staff, assisting customers, and working closely with management to achieve dealership goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and support the sales team in achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor and manage daily sales activities, ensuring sales processes are followed.
- Assist sales consultants in closing deals and handling difficult negotiations.
- Track and analyze sales metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve performance.
- Ensure vehicles are properly displayed and showroom is organized.
- Engage with customers on the showroom floor, providing guidance and ensuring excellent service.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain positive dealership reputation.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction index (CSI) scores by monitoring interactions and feedback.
- Oversee proper handling of test drives and customer interactions.
- Train, mentor, and coach sales staff to improve skills and productivity.
- Conduct daily sales meetings to discuss goals, performance, and dealership updates.
- Work with human resources and leadership to recruit, hire, and retain top talent.
- Ensure adherence to dealership policies, procedures, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and enforce proper documentation of sales transactions and financing paperwork.
- Coordinate with the finance and service departments to ensure a smooth sales-to-delivery process.
- Assist in managing inventory, including vehicle allocation, pricing, and lot organization.
- Work closely with General Sales Manager and General Manager to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Utilize Tekion CRM System for tracking sales performance, team productivity, market trends, activities and managing customer relationships.
- Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional events to drive traffic to the dealership.
- Motivate and foster a positive work environment to boost team morale.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in dealership operations, sales or business development may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience, preferably in automotive dealership sales and management.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Proven track in automotive sales.
- Experience in Tekion CRM or equivalent systems and dealership management systems preferred.

Salary Description
$72,000-$82,000 Annual Salary
