Supply Chain Demand Manager

Position Overview 


The Supply Chain Demand Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing demand forecasts and planning processes to ensure product availability, inventory efficiency, and alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and supply teams. This role drives accurate demand sensing, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes, and continuous improvement in forecast accuracy to support business growth, cost control, and customer service levels.


Key Responsibilities


· Develop, maintain, and refine statistical and consensus-based demand forecasts across product lines, channels, and regions.


· Lead the S&OP / IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process, facilitating cross-functional alignment on demand plans, assumptions, and risks.


· Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional plans, seasonality, new product introductions, and external factors to improve forecast accuracy.


· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning teams to gather insights, challenge assumptions, and produce a single source of truth for demand.


· Monitor forecast performance (e.g., MAPE, bias, accuracy by segment) and implement corrective actions and process improvements.


· Manage demand-related inventory strategies, safety stock recommendations, and risk mitigation for stockouts or excess inventory.


· Support new product launches, product lifecycle changes, and discontinuations with robust demand planning.


· Identify and quantify demand risks and opportunities; communicate scenarios and recommendations to leadership.


· Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, tools, and data quality; leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML forecasting where applicable.


· Prepare and present demand plan reviews, KPI dashboards, and executive summaries.


· Partner with supply planning to balance demand and supply constraints and support capacity and inventory decisions.




Requirements

   

Qualifications


· Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (master’s or relevant certification preferred).


· 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, or related roles (aerospace experience manufacturing preferred).


· Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy and leading or contributing to S&OP processes.


· ERP/MRP, S&OP ownership, advanced Excel/analytics, and executive communication.


· Strong analytical skills

Salary Description
$100,000- $125,000 a year
