Adult Echocardiography - DMS Adjunct Faculty Instructor

South College Asheville is seeking an Adult Echocardiography - DMS Adjunct Faculty Instructor to join the DMS Department. This position is on-ground at the Asheville Campus in Asheville, NC. Travel to area clinical sites may be required. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop appropriate academic lectures and/or scanning lab, as well as learning experiences that allow all students to achieve course objectives in sonography.
  • Ensure that all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student and submitted per established deadlines in sonography.
  • Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students.
  • Be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
  • Appropriately manage all classroom activities.
  • Submit accurate attendance/academic participation rosters as prescribed by the institution.
  • Submit assignment grades and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Be willing to assist with visiting students in a clinical setting.
Requirements

Education

  • Required associate's degree in adult cardiac sonography 
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in relevant field required for didactic instruction

Experience

  • Must have active credential in adult echocardiography as either RDCS or RCS
  • Must document the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a sonographer.
