San Diego-based commercial property services company seeking an experienced Field Supervisor (Janitorial) to join our growing team.
About the Position
- Responsible for our services' quality and ensuring we meet the standards as detailed in our specifications and outlined on our contracts.
- Responsible for our success on each property, acting as a conduit of information regarding general maintenance and liability issues.
- Trains staff to perform duties safely and in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Performs quality control inspections.
- Performs related work as assigned and assists with the daily cleaning of site or location.
- Assists manager with hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising the day-to-day activities of the Day Porters and in-house sweepers.
- Fills shift/site vacancies at assigned accounts.
- Responsible for managing (minimizing overtime).
- Ensures that equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe, operable/usable condition.
- Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies to ensure adequate and proper supply levels are on hand and accounted for.
- Attends and participates in weekly operations meetings.
- Ensures the proper use and care of assigned and/or issued company vehicles, supplies, and equipment.
- Performs other job-related assignments as required by the client that may be scheduled or unscheduled and may involve duty performance beyond normal shift hours, including requests regarding unlocking of doors, accepting deliveries, tending to tenants' needs, etc.
- Complete other job-related projects and assignments as they arise.

Skills & Experience Required
- 2 + years of hands-on experience supervising housekeeping/janitorial staff.
- Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
- Valid California Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Comprehensive understanding of maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Motivation to do a good job when working alone.
- Attention to detail and use of reasonable judgment.
- A polished, professional, put-together demeanor.
- Ability to use technological devices and computers (i.e., smartphone, tablet, computer)
- Oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
· Regularly drive a car for long periods. Ability to physically show employees how to complete the essential functions of their job.
