We currently have an opening at our Logan, OH facility for a Janitor.


PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the Stewart Glass manufacturing facility
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in production, office, restroom, break room, and common areas
  • Remove glass fragments, dust, debris, and other waste from designated areas
  • Empty trash containers and move waste to designated collection areas
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and fixtures
  • Clean and maintain employee break rooms, lunch areas, and common areas
  • Replenish restroom, break room, and janitorial supplies as needed
  • Clean windows, doors, glass surfaces, and other building surfaces as assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness around production areas and equipment while following all required safety procedures
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report spills, broken glass, unsafe conditions, equipment damage, or other facility concerns to the Shift Lead
  • Maintain an organized inventory of janitorial and PPE supplies and notify the Shift Lead when supplies need to be reordered
  • Assist with periodic deep-cleaning projects and general facility housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the A1 or B1 Shift Lead or other office staff supervisors as needed

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED/DESIRED

  • Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to safely use common cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures
  • Ability to work a rotating 4x10 schedule on either A1 or B1 shift
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Type: Full-time, hourly (eligible for overtime) 

Work Location: In person @ Stewart Glass

Production Schedule

  • Shift Hours: Rotating days, 4 on 4 off, with hours of 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM and a 30 minute unpaid lunch typically observed around 12:00 PM. 

Currency: United States Dollar (USD)

Pay Type: Hourly

Salary Range: $18 USD/ HR
