This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys balancing technical problem-solving with team development. You'll lead a group of talented Project Engineers responsible for designing and delivering highly customized biopharmaceutical process equipment while helping shape the future of engineering excellence at ABEC.

What You'll Do

As a Project Engineering Supervisor, you'll serve as both a technical leader and people manager, ensuring your team delivers innovative solutions that meet customer expectations for quality, schedule, and performance.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Project Engineers.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Remove barriers that impact team performance and project execution.

Project Execution & Technical Leadership

  • Direct engineering activities across multiple customer projects.
  • Coordinate engineering priorities, schedules, and workloads to support customer commitments.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to ABEC quality standards.
  • Act as a primary technical resource and escalation point for the engineering team.
  • Provide guidance on equipment design, system integration, documentation, and technical problem solving.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key technical contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Support proposal development, engineering labor estimates, and technical reviews.
  • Participate in design reviews, product development initiatives, FATs, SATs, and customer meetings.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Help establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and design guidelines.
  • Support Lean and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Biological, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience leading and coordinating the work of engineering teams.
  • Strong mechanical and process equipment design knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, sanitary process, piping systems, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting the design, manufacture, and testing of custom engineered equipment.
  • Familiarity with automation and control systems related to bioprocess applications.
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, or customer-facing technical activities.
