INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
RECEIVING CLERK / FORKLIFT OPERATOR: This is a hybrid role 50% working in the office within SAP, focusing on manual inbounds, finding and fixing errors, Receiving Return Shipments “RGR” from Customers, email communication with various other departments, receiving Parcel Shipments in DSSI and 50% on the Forklift. Performs all duties related to incoming and outgoing of goods and materials. Verifies that all incoming shipments are properly labeled, for distribution. Verifies that outbound materials and product are correct, and properly labeled as per packing slip.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
a) General warehouse duties including shipping/receiving shipments.
b) Processing inbound loads using SAP/DSSI in computer as well as scanner.
c) Processing subcontracting loads.
d) Inspection checks of all outgoing parts for quality, labeling and packaging as per the packing slip.
e) Signs off outgoing parts/materials and inspection of incoming parts/materials from vendors.
f) Willing and able to work and accommodate a flexible hours schedule (willing to stay late as needed to assure all pertinent work is completed for the day).
g) Inventory counts as needed.
h) Have the ability to efficiently work in SAP, concentrating on manual inbounds, receiving RGR returns from the Customer, fixing and reversing discrepant inbounds and receiving parcel shipments in DSSI.
i) Loading/unloading shuttles with transfer parts, Zkommi, and subcontracting loads, empties.
j) Email Communication between quality, buyers, assembly, welding and management.
k) Daily interaction with other departments, production meetings.
l) Safe and correct operation of forklifts per company standards and company policies as well as provide support of materials needed.
m) Ability to immediately address and communicate with Warehouse Manager with any urgent employee concerns.
n) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
o) Coordinate the communication between shipping location and Hayes plant in regards to urgent production needs or disposition of material.
p) Training of other employees in the Receiving Department.
q) Perform incoming receiving inspections per SAP inspection Plans
r) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
s) Proficiently perform product layouts using granite surface, calipers, height gage, micrometers, indicators, protractors, hardness tester and other measurement tools
t) Conveys information pertaining to found nonconforming product to supplier, quality engineer and/or Warehouse Manager as appropriate so that corrective measures may be taken
u) Containment of non-conforming materials (reject tags, quarantine, SAP inventory adjustments, and all related
v) Understanding of unit systems and conversions
REQUIREMENTS:
a) 2+ years previous shipping and receiving experience.
b) Highly dependable, motivated and self-driven with excellent attendance with an aptitude to lead others and set a good work standard for the area leading.
c) High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
d) Previous inspection experience.
e) Basic math skills as defined by company standards.
f) Able to read and write legible as defined by company standards.
g) Understanding of Basic Processes.
h) Certified forklift driver.
i) Ability to gain knowledge of company products and company quality and safety procedures.
j) Ability to follow, understand and strictly abide by the Work Instructions. (WI)
k) SAP experience is a plus.
l) Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, safely, effectively and efficiently.
m) The ability to train other employees on receiving functions and SAP system.
n) Solid working knowledge and working experience in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
o) Proficient in shop math, including measurements, fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
p) Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints with GD&T

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work is generally performed in a production plant & warehouse setting.
b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and continuously and in a repetitious manner lift and/or move objects of 15-51pounds safely within company guidelines with or without assistance.
