Windings is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll work closely with Engineering and Production to solve problems, improve manufacturing processes, support new equipment and projects, and help us build high-quality products.
If you enjoy being out on the production floor, troubleshooting issues, working with tooling and fixtures, and turning ideas into real improvements, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturing processes, quality, workflow, and efficiency
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and help identify root causes and practical solutions
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, forms, and engineering changes
- Use SolidWorks to document components, tooling, and fixtures
- Support capital equipment projects, implementation, and employee training
- Assist with development builds, testing, inspection, and experimentation
- Help develop bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routes
- Gather technical data and support engineering reviews
- Assist with failure analysis and the rework or repair of nonconforming product
- Work with teams across Windings to improve safety, quality, cost, and manufacturing performance
What We’re Looking For
- 2-year degree in a technical field or equivalent industrial/technical experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or electronics environment preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot problems using a systematic, hands-on approach
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools such as SPC, process capability, Gage R&R, or DOE is a plus
- Electric motor or generator manufacturing experience is a bonus — but not required
- Someone who enjoys working collaboratively with Engineering and Production and isn't afraid to get hands-on

Hiring Range:
$25 - $35 per hour DOQ
We are committed to providing pay ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The listed pay range is provided in good faith and is subject to adjustments in accordance with company policies and market conditions.
This position is eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus program based on company performance goals. Bonus payouts are not guaranteed and are determined at the company's discretion.
