Mining, aggregate, or heavy industrial maintenance experience is preferred.


We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our sand plant operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is responsible for constructing and assembling new sand plants, performing comprehensive maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting ongoing plant operations. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and keeping critical equipment running, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing mining operation.


As a Maintenance Technician, you'll work on a wide range of plant equipment and systems, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, crushers, hydraulic and air systems, electrical systems, and structural components. You'll also perform welding and fabrication and support equipment installation, inspection, and repair.


What You'll Do

  • Construct and assemble new sand plants and support maintenance and repair activities during construction and commissioning.
  • Perform welding, mechanical repairs, electrical work, plumbing, hydraulic repairs, boiler maintenance, and air system servicing.
  • Maintain and repair feed systems, conveying systems, scrubber systems, shaker systems, and classifying systems.
  • Maintain discharge hopper systems, weigh systems, central mixer systems, load carrying systems, drive systems, and structural systems.
  • Maintain and repair water systems, air systems, electrical systems, crushers, hydraulic systems, and recycling systems.
  • Perform bearing, gearbox, and motor changes and troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures.
  • Perform Flexco and Super Screw conveyor belt splicing and repairs.
  • Perform slurry pump swaps and rebuilds and assist with poly pipe fusing.
  • Complete welding and fabrication work as needed to support plant maintenance and operations.
  • Inspect equipment according to the Company's prescribed inspection schedule and complete detailed inspection and maintenance reports.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and comply with all company safety policies and federal and state mining regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of welding or mechanical maintenance experience; sand or aggregate plant experience preferred.
  • Experience with bearing, gearbox, and motor changes.
  • Experience with conveyor belt repair and splicing, including Flexco and Super Screw.
  • Experience with slurry pump swaps and rebuilds, poly pipe fusing, welding, and fabrication.
  • Knowledge of arc welding and cutting torch use.
  • Experience with gearboxes, bearings, structural welding, baghouses, elevators, silos, pumps, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, rigging, lifting, and mechanical alignment skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in hot or cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Experience operating skid steers, telehandlers, and track hoe/backhoe equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to maintaining reliable, efficient plant operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including indoors and outdoors.
