Your Role as a Home Care Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled speech, language, communication, and swallowing services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients, caregivers, and their care teams to improve communication, cognitive-communication skills, swallowing safety, functional independence, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assessing communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Providing skilled speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing interventions
- Educating patients and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing safety, and appropriate compensatory techniques
- Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other members of the care team
- Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Need to Have:
- Current Massachusetts Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
- Afternoon availability
