Description

  

We are seeking an experienced Interiors Superintendent and member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters to join our team. The Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader for commercial interiors construction projects, overseeing field operations, coordinating trades, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

This individual will play a hands-on leadership role throughout the construction process and work closely with Project Management, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders to successfully deliver high-quality corporate interiors projects.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
  • Manage and coordinate daily field operations for commercial interiors construction projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute short-term schedules and two-week look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, inspections, and project activities to maintain project schedules.
  • Serve as the on-site leader for safety and ensure compliance with company, project, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Monitor project quality and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
  • Maintain complete and accurate daily reports, including manpower, progress, deliveries, work activities, and project issues.
  • Review and understand subcontractor scopes of work and coordinate activities to help prevent scope gaps, conflicts, and unnecessary change orders.
  • Identify potential schedule, quality, safety, or coordination issues early and work with the project team to develop timely solutions.
  • Coordinate inspections, RFIs, submittals, and quality assurance documentation with the Project Management team.
  • Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including punch list completion, final inspections, and project handoff.

Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters (MARCC) required.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience leading commercial interiors construction projects, preferably as a Superintendent, in a senior field leadership role, or as a Foreman or Senior Carpenter. Candidates with 5+ years of commercial interiors experience who have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and are interested in growing into a Superintendent role are encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship will be provided to the right candidate to support a successful transition into a Superintendent position. Extensive experience managing corporate interiors, tenant fit-out, renovation, or similar commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, and trade coordination.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and other construction management technology.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades in an active construction environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required; equivalent construction experience will be considered.
