Position Overview: Ensure Nordic facilities, programs, are clean, sell tickets, lesson packages, and teach lessons as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Essential Job Functions:
- Teach lessons and/or lead groups in snowshoe and cross-country skiing in light and dark settings.
- Assist guests and employees with sales and processing of Resort products, including but not limited to tickets, passes, rental equipment, and parking.
- Be familiar with Resort products, upcoming events, and sell lessons, lesson packages, parking, rentals, tickets, locker rentals, etc.
- Accurately process and keep cash count, credit card, gift card, and other transactions.
- Understand skill levels of skiing and lesson products.
- Assist school program coordinators with check in processes and work with Department Supervisors to place students in correct lesson class / programs.
- Communicate with supervisors and instructors about lesson specifics and any special requests.
- Answer multi-line phone and provide accurate information re: Resort offerings.
- Work with Supervisors to serve our employees and guests and create solutions.
- Maintain up to date and accurate lesson records and other information as needed.
- Promote safe skiing/riding for safety.
- Rent to and instruct guests re: operation of equipment.
- Provide an engaging customer experience through friendly and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform the job and get along with others.
- Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
- Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
- Physically perform the essential job functions of this position

Environmental Factors:
- Face-to-face interactions with the general public and Resort staff.
- Exposure to cold temperatures and severe weather.
- Continuous interaction with guests and Resort staff.
- Walking, bending, rotating, and standing, and skiing / snowshoeing / snowboarding constantly.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs constantly.
- Lifting to waist level of 40 lbs. infrequently, above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 10 lbs. frequently.
- Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
- Frequent walking on uneven, steep, and slippery terrain with job site hazards.
- The working environment may be stressful when meeting staff and guest needs.

Education / Experience:
- Minimum one year prior teaching experience or successful completion of new instructor clinics.
- One year cash handling, POS system, customer service or equivalency.
- One year computer, internet, and phone skills.
