We are seeking an Entry-Level Engineer / Associate Construction Project Manager to join our team. This position is designed for an individual interested in developing a career in civil engineering and civil construction, with opportunities for growth into an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and/or Estimator role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Support estimating staff with basic quantity takeoffs and estimating activities.
· Assist with project scheduling and preconstruction administrative processes.
· Assist with material submittals, approvals, and related documentation.
· Assist with the Request for Information (RFI) process and tracking.
· Track project scope, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
· Assist with monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues.
· Coordinate communication and information between field personnel and management.
· Assist project managers, engineers, and estimators with day-to-day project needs.
· Learn and utilize construction software, including Trimble Business Center and HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob.
· Visit project sites as needed to support project management and construction activities.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· 0–3 years of experience in civil construction, engineering, estimating, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
· Willingness to learn construction processes, estimating, project management, and related software.
· Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Work Environment
· Primarily office-based with periodic visits to construction project sites.
· May require occasional travel to project locations.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and other members of the construction team.

Physical Demands
This position is primarily performed in a seated environment and requires frequent use of hands to handle materials, documents, and computer equipment. The position also requires regular standing and walking, as well as frequent verbal and written communication.
Occasional physical activities may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching. The ability to perform these activities safely and effectively is required as needed to perform the essential functions of the position.
The position requires the ability to see clearly at close range and at a distance, read printed and electronic documents, view information on a computer monitor, distinguish between colors, and maintain adequate depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus.
