About the Position
Shiloh Home, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Specialist to join our team at the Family Resource Pavilion in Centennial, Colorado.
The Family Resource Pavilion is a unique, community-focused facility that includes a school, respite facility, event center, café serving lunch, and coffee shop open throughout the day.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in organization and cleanliness, and works well as part of a team. The Food Service Specialist will play an important role in preparing nutritious meals, supporting special events, maintaining inventory and supplies, and ensuring compliance with applicable food service and safety standards.
Compensation
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected pay for this Colorado position is $20.33 per hour. Actual compensation may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for Shiloh Home, Inc. programs and residential campuses.
- Follow approved menus, recipes, production schedules, and food service procedures.
- Prepare, package, and distribute meals for multiple residential campuses.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, setup, and service for special events and programs as needed.
- Receive and organize food donations, supplies, and deliveries from vendors.
- Maintain accurate and organized food and supply inventory.
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary food preparation and work areas.
- Follow applicable Colorado Department of Education (CDE), USDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Complete required production records and documentation.
- Support administrative and regulatory reviews to ensure compliance with state requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient, positive, and professional kitchen environment.
- Perform other food service duties as assigned.
Schedule
This position requires flexibility in scheduling based on catering, events, and program needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in food service, meal preparation, commercial kitchens, cafeterias, schools, restaurants, catering, or institutional food service required.
- Catering, banquet, or event-serving experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and catering needs.
- Must maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
