Description


Summary


The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for centralized loan documentation preparation and loan funding within the allocated time frames defined by the Bank. Provides a high level of customer service to lenders/loan portfolio managers/bankers in preparing consumer and commercial loan documentation ensuring all federal regulations and Bank policy are complied with prior to issuance.


Location: This role will primarily be in-office at an approved Gulf Coast Bank & Trust location unless otherwise agreed upon with management. The location and any agreements made may be amended or changed at any time at the company’s discretion. 


Responsibilities

  • Gather all necessary documents from the lender/loan portfolio manager required to produce loan documents.
  • Review all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare loan documents using the LaserPro system timely and accurately.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and electronically with all parties involved.
  • Responsible for ensuring all federal regulations and Bank policy are complied with prior to producing loan documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements


Skills/Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous banking experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous LaserPro experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory law.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment that changes quickly.
  • Knowledge of personal computers including the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
