Title: Personal Lines Client Manager

Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:


The Client Advocate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships, ensuring their insurance needs are thoroughly reviewed and met. This individual will be responsible for conducting full account reviews during the renewal period, identifying coverage gaps, and advising clients on potential coverage improvements, discounts, and deductible adjustments. The Client Advocate will also manage remarketing efforts as needed, actively pursue upsell opportunities, and round out accounts to ensure clients have well-rounded coverage. This role requires a knowledgeable and respected professional with strong industry expertise.


Essential Functions:

  • Account Reviews & Renewals:
  • Conduct comprehensive account reviews during renewal periods.
  • Assess current coverage, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions to clients. 
  • Identifying upselling and cross selling opportunities. 
  • Proactively discuss potential policy enhancements, discounts, and deductible options with clients.
  • Remarketing & Account Management:
  • Execute remarketing efforts as a final step to maintain client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to expand client portfolios and strengthen relationships.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, policy changes, and recommendations.
  • Client Engagement & Advocacy:
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing professional advice and advocating for clients' best interests.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and continued loyalty.
  • Educate clients on their coverage options and policy benefits.
  • Industry Knowledge & Compliance:
  • Stay updated with industry trends, policy changes, and best practices.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and maintain the highest level of ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge in personal lines insurance. 
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance policy structures, coverage options, and underwriting processes.
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems. 
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and execute upsell strategies.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.  
  • Property & Casualty Agents License is required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of previous insurance experience. 
  • Demonstrated overall success in customer service. 
  • Advanced Designations including but not limited to CPIA, CISR, & CIC.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.   
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, listen, and observe. Specifically, the employee must be able to communicate clearly with clients and others.  
  • This position frequently communicates with clients who have inquiries about their renewal policy premiums. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This includes repeating motions that involve the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

$40,000 - $55,000
