Maine Veterans’ Homes is seeking a dependable Per Diem Housekeeping Aide to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and clinical spaces
- Perform routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal
- Follow infection control and safety procedures in accordance with facility guidelines
- Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents at all times
- Work cooperatively with residents, families, staff, and other members of the care team

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care, is a plus
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Compassionate and respectful approach when working around elderly and disabled residents
- Basic computer skills
