This role collaborates with Accounting and cross-functional teams to transform financial and operational data into actionable recommendations, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. By ensuring the accuracy and integrity of critical financial information, the Financial Analyst I helps identify opportunities, enhance performance, and support strategic growth. Essential Job Duties:

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities that support informed business and accounting decisions.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics to communicate results and business insights to stakeholders.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by assisting with reconciliations, reporting, data validation, and financial analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses by gathering and evaluating financial and operational data.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance data accuracy, and support operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in system enhancements, reporting automation projects, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen financial visibility and internal controls.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial information by identifying discrepancies, researching issues, and recommending corrective actions and process improvements.

Requirements

Role Competencies:

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Possesses a foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and core business processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of utilizing ERP, accounting, and reporting systems to gather, validate, and analyze data.
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effectively communicates financial information and insights to team members and stakeholders through clear verbal, written, and visual reporting.
  • Builds collaborative working relationships across departments and demonstrates a customer-focused approach when supporting internal business partners.
  • Exhibits initiative, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen data integrity.


Experience and Education Requirements:

Preferred Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Analysis.


Education (or equivalent experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
